iPhone 5 delay due to AT&T ?
With the recent announcement of AT&T LTE going live very soon perhaps Apple is waiting for AT&T and Verizon to be on a little more even LTE footing to release the iPhone 5. Pure speculation of course but one has to wonder.

2011 Macbook Pro
So I have had my second Macbook Pro 15" for a few months now and this one is just as solid as the last one. The new Intel Core i7 quad core is definitely fast. I opted for the glossy screen just because I really like the clarity and do not use it where there is a reflection problem.
I upgraded the RAM with 8GB from Other World Computing, OWC, and it has been trouble free. This company warranties their RAM and definitely stands behind it. My 2008 MBP was very tough to get just the right RAM and OWC worked with me until it was right. Once the 8GB modules come down in price I will be upgrading the Macbook to 16GB RAM. The server virtual machines I have to run really need 10+GB just for the VM.
I now have 2 SSD hard drives in the system, primary drive is a Corsair Force 3 240GB and the secondary is OCZ Agility2 120 GB. I use the OCZ for running virtual machines which divides the HD activity nicely. Putting in the OPTI-Bay in place of the DVD drive is a little touchy due to the small spaces and tiny screws. It is not difficult, it just requires time, patience and some strong reading glasses. Yes, it is the over 50 eyes causing that. The SSD drives coupled with the i7 quad core really make everything run quite fast. Huge improvement over the 2008 MBP.
I bought the OS X Lion upgrade as soon as it came out and I very much like the changes although I have not switched to the "natural scrolling". When in the office I use an external 27" ASUS LED monitor with my previous generation display cable which works fine on the Thunderblolt port. When on the laptop screen the full screen is really nice for many applications.
Overall, this is my second Mac and I have no plans to go back to Windows with all the quirks caused mainly by a myriad of device drivers. The Mac simplifies my life and it just works.
